Born a Hoosier, Damon Butler has been documenting landscapes since 2009. The lack of jaw-dropping scenery in the Midwest fuels his passion for light painting. "Ultimately the goal is to enhance my surroundings, and create an image that only a camera can capture."
You can view his current work in galleries around Indiana. During the warmer months you can find him touring the Midwest attending art festivals.
"Lighting effects in my work are created on location and captured by camera over an extended period of time.
To create the effects, I use a wide variety of custom lighting tools including: flashlights, neon tubes, LEDs, and fireworks."
While Photoshop was used to edit, none of the lighting effects are created in Photoshop.
